Detailed info on the weekly classes of Oriental dance
Spring term 2010

Tue 17-18.30 Beginners-level I
Basic technique of Oriental dance with easy combinations and an easy dance. Suitable class also for all who wish to strenghten their technique. Suitable class for also catching up missed classes.

Thu 17-18.30 level II-
Technique according to the level of the group and working on Mahmoud Reda's dance Luksor baladna.

Thu 18.30-20 level III-
Tuija's Oriental Routine Layali Masrya (cd: Ahlan wa sahlan).

Fri 17-18.30 level I-IV Folklore & baladi
Technique of different Egyptian folk dances, typical steps and combos. Folklore is an important part of the studies of Oriental dance, on all levels. This term we will work also on the core-oriented technique and expression of baladi. No complete choreos, the class is suitable for catching up missed classes. This class can be taken after completing one term of beginners' classes, but it's also very useful for dancers of all levels.

Fri 18.30-20 level II-
Working on Mahmoud Reda's Alf leyla wa leyla.

Sun 15-16.30 level I-IV
Oriental technique, with special attention to arabesques, turning and spinning, body line etc. Working on Hosseny's technique combos. Very useful and important class for all levels, also advanced. Suitable class for catching up missed classes.

Sun 16.30-18 level II-
A good warming up to strenghten the core-oriented technique. Working at least on Mahmoud Reda's Tubul.

Sun 18-20 level III-IV
Several choreographies, with stage setting. The tempo of the class is fast.
