Spring term 2011
Tue 17-18.30 Beginners-level I (Tuija)
Basic technique of Oriental dance with easy combinations and pieces of easy dances. Suitable class also for all who wish to strengthen their technique. Suitable class for catching up missed classes.
Tue 18-19.30 level I-IV (Tuija)
Technique according to the level of the group and working on one or two dances, giving to students of different levels the opportunity to develop their own personal interpretation of the music. We will work at least on Modern Street Baladi (Yasmina's CD Baladi w bas).
Fri 17-18.30 level I-IV Folklore & baladi (Hosseny)
Technique of different Egyptian folk dances, typical steps and combos. Folklore is an important part of the studies of Oriental dance, on all levels. This term we will work also on the core-oriented technique and expression of baladi. No complete choreos, the class is suitable for catching up missed classes. This class can be taken after completing one term of beginners' classes, but it's also very useful for dancers of all levels.
Fri 18.30-20 level II-IV (Hosseny)
Choreography class. Working on one or several choreos according to the group.
Sun 15-16.30 level I-IV (Hosseny)
Oriental technique, with special attention to arabesques, turning and spinning, body line etc. Working also on small pieces of dances of different styles. Very useful and important class for all levels, also advanced. Suitable class for catching up missed classes.
Sun 16.30-18 level II-IV (Hosseny)
A good warming up to strenghten the core-oriented technique. Working on the famous Abdel Halim Hafez piece Risala min taht el ma'. |
